So you want to know something about me, eh? Well, since this is a mortgage blog and related to my mortgage business, I’ll start by telling you about my history in the mortgage industry.

I got my start in early 1998 as a loan processor for a small wholesale lender based in Orem, Utah. For those who aren’t up-to-date on the jargon, a wholesale lender is a company that will usually end up buying your loan after you close with a broker. So, I got to know a good deal about the business by working in the B2B side first.

After several months there, I decided to go after bigger income opportunities as a loan officer and began originating. I was also going to college at the time and continued to work as a loan officer while finishing a degree in economics. The mortgage business was good to me - it helped me through college without needing any student loans. Something I will always be grateful for.

I’ve been involved in the real estate industry in one form or another since then. Other than that, read through the blog - you’re sure to find out more about me - probably more than you intended!
